| Emergency Services |
Providing critical financial assistance to eligible low-income families and individuals for utilities, rent, mortgage, prescriptions, heating oil, and other necessities. Emergency Services also includes a food pantry that provides groceries to approximately three thousand families each year.

| Pathways for Youth |
A neighborhood based, family-oriented, after-school program for children in grades 3 through 12. Pathways provides tutoring, homework assistance, music lessons, cultural opportunities, field trips, parent education and a reading enrichment program. Teachers, counselors and volunteer tutors work with each child daily. Individual and family counseling is available on-site through a partnership with Family Service of Roanoke Valley. Volunteer mentors from community churches, businesses and civic organizations provide support, friendship and act as positive role models to enrolled children.
The ultimate goal of Pathways is to provide children with the tools to keep them in school through graduation and use the power of education to break the cycle of poverty so often evident in southeast Roanoke.

| Pathfinders |
An after-school mental health treatment program for southeast Roanoke children offered in partnership with Family Service of the Roanoke Valley. Qualified Mental Health Professionals and counselors from Family Service work with enrolled children to teach strategies that will help them cope successfully with problems they may face in classroom and social settings. Treatment sessions are held in the new Pathfinders Center adjacent to the PCC. Presbyterian Community Center staff and Family Service counselors maintain weekly contact with parents. Pathfinders is offered free of charge.
